A late monsoon special, Bamboo shoots are loaded in vitamins (A, B6, E), minerals (calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, and more), and high in dietary fiber; they are low in calories, carbohydrates, sugar, and fat.
Simply prepare by boiling the shoot, and flavouring it in salt, turmeric, and spice. It can also be served as a side with butter and soya sauce, or added to stews, curries, soups.
A single order includes 1 shoot cleaned and chopped (serves 3 people).
To store, refrigerate. Best when used fresh.
